In summer of 2017, David Beck had what he thought was a canker sore that wouldn’t heal. After having it examined and biopsied, doctors revealed he had stage 2 carcinoma of the tongue. After a complex surgery and less than two weeks at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, Beck was able to return home, pain-free.
